Biography
The quote most associated with Ann is one by Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon which can change the world.” and as to how this applies to coaching, Ann summarises by saying,
“In order to support others well and become successful leaders, we must first to grow ourselves through reflective enquiry and coaching.”
When not coaching, Ann enjoys developing diverse leadership and being the CEO of a nationally-recognised company. She is an avid reader who enjoys travelling and learning French. With a background in classical music, she also loves listening to a range of genres of music and going to the theatre.

As a young company, Fig Tree International is doing great things. Ann founded the company, based on her 30+ years in education. The company focuses on coaching, school improvement support, professional development programmes and national awards for work around diversity. Fig Tree works with CEOs in business as part of a work-shadowing programme for aspirant CEOs.
She coaches leaders from a variety of contexts, both within education and beyond. She enables them to be heard, moves them onto a trajectory of personal and professional growth and provides them with an on-going safety net of professional support.

Working predominantly with schools in challenging circumstances, Ann has held headships in several London and Outer London boroughs, Ofsted confirming that she ‘leads with vision and flair’. Her leadership experience covers 3 – 19 years old, with three of the four schools having been or currently are labelled ‘Outstanding’. Her work is described as of the ‘highest order’ and ‘always first rate’.
In addition to headship experience, Ann has a wealth of experience, having worked with governors, local authorities, the Department for Education as a School Improvement Partner, international schools and universities in the UK and internationally. She was previously an accredited OFSTED Inspector. Ann was awarded Freedom of the City of London in 2010.
