MSB Extraordinary Teams

Extraordinary

Teams

A brave look at culture, conflict and coherence

Teams are the heartbeat of schools. Extraordinary Teams helps groups reconnect, communicate with candour, and align around shared values. This 10-hour programme surfaces patterns and dynamics, reduces drama, and enhances collective belonging.

Why Extraordinary Teams?

Teams thrive when they consciously make space to re-meet, notice patterns, and align on shared purpose.

Using MSB’s approach, we integrate listening, presence, and appreciation into structures that transform how teams meet and collaborate.

What you’ll learn

Part 1.

Acknowledging your team’s resources

Part 2.

Experiments and data

Part 3.

Integration and accountability

Part 1 – Acknowledging your team’s resources

You begin by re-meeting beyond your role, acknowledging where you are and your shared resources.

  • Acknowledging where you are now and where you want to be
  • Reprising listening and noticing more
  • Are you leading from above the line, or below the line?
  • Aligning your values and behaviours
  • The art of appreciation

Part 2 – Experiments and Data

With deeper awareness of where you are as a team, we practise how to respond to the real stressors you are facing. We experiment using models that reveal deeper dynamics, expanding the possibilities you have to be response-able and accountable.

  • Using the breath to slow down, as a gateway for awareness and embodiment
  • Making a distinction between the content and context of your work
  • Introducing the ‘four ways of leading,’ to expand your team’s agility
  • Dancing in the drama triangle to raise awareness of unhelpful dynamics
  • Surfacing and owning unconscious commitments
  • Exploring how to shift from drama to presence

Part 3 – Integration and Accountability

Integration is a valued element of MSBs programmes and an essential step in adult learning. We facilitate a group thinking process, supporting you to use new awareness to break through tired patterns. We conclude by curating a playbook of preferred tools, structures and rituals.

  • Integrating awareness through facilitated group dialogue
  • Commitments, witnessing and accountability
  • Curating your playbook – what are your new practices, routines and structures? How will you be accountable?
