Let go and Lead: How to develop the most effective leadership for the 21st Century

Aims of the course

To equip delegates with a refreshed perspective on modern leadership which will challenge traditional ideas around hierarchy and order.

We live in the world of Multi Academy Trusts, maintained schools, free schools, independent schools, international contexts and much more…how does our leadership approach need to adapt in response to the changing landscape?

Drawing on Margaret Wheately’s concept of ‘letting go and leading’, delegates will be challenged to consider that the thing getting in the way of effective leadership might be themselves and their own preconceptions. The competencies and qualities needed to be a resilient senior leader will be covered as well as techniques on how to handle serious cases and scenarios.

Intended outcomes of the course

  • Delegates will leave having reflected on their own beliefs and values and will have a clearer vision of where they are headed in the modern 21st century leadership landscape.
  • Attendees will feel ready to apply leadership techniques in different circumstances and will have skills to build effective teams whilst holding them to account.
